Bucks Draft Picks are Introduced
The Milwaukee Bucks introduced the second pick from the 2008 NBA Draft, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute from UCLA. He joins West Virgina's Joe Alexander who was taken with the #8 pick last week by the Milwaukee Bucks. Unlike last year's Yi circus, these two players are actually excited to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks.
On draft day the Bucks sent Bobby Simmions and Yi to the New Jersey Nets for Richard Jefferson. Jefferson should be a huge upgrade to the Bucks. I'm personally thrilled that the Bucks shipped Yi off who was a huge disappointment and even seemed to be drafted out of spite. Yi did not want to be a Buck and honestly we did not want him either. He moves on and hopefully will be buried on the Nets bench further upsetting his handlers and the Chinese government. It's their problem now!!!
But back to the Bucks picks, Joe Alexander brings his freakishly athletic game and energy to a team in desperate need of a change. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, an actual Prince in Cameroon, is a 6-foot-8 defensive-minded forward with a high basketball IQ.
The Bucks passed on such players as Bill Walker PF Kansas State and Chris Douglas-Roberts, a star F from Memphis to take Mbah a Moute, proving that coach Scott Skiles is looking to improve the Bucks defense, rather than add another scorer.
Hopefully he also brings a few extra wins this upcoming season.
